Best Actor Academy awards

I just came back from watching Crazy Heart with Jeff Bridges and checked the Odds for best actor and he's favored at -700?!? Yeah I think he was great in this film but I'm not sure he deserves to be favored at those odds. I thought Colin Firth was amazing in Single Man and George Clooney was very good also in Up in The Air. Even a long shot in Jeremy Renner in Hurt Locker.

The academy didn't even gibe Mickey Rourke an award last year for what I thought was a superior performance then Jeff Bridges. Maybe the academy will give this one to Jeff Bridges because it's the same type of character then Mickey Rourke did last year?? I don't know here someone needs to enlighten me before I hit the field at +500 :toast:

He's winning everywhere else. More of a lifetime achievement thing than anything. I can't see him losing this.

Fwiw:
I took Bigelow to win best director +100 before the odds crashed and The Hurt Locker to win best picture +120.

Also like THL to win as an underdog in either original screenplay or sound mixing.
Maybe also adding Argentinian "El Secreto de Sus Ojos" to win best foreign picture, if odds at betfair go back to 9/1 or higher.

I love the Bigelow play but the odds are too bad now. I wanted this one also

The Hurt Locker is a good movie too. Although it is sad to know that they sued it because the story was based on the soldier who are deployed in Iraq..
But i really like the story. Through this movie we can see the hard situations of the soldiers..
